We flew in to Honolulu, and stayed on Wakiki Beach, the nice thing about that is you are driving
against the traffic most of the time. The traffic is worse than NYC or LA they say...
The view from our hotel room:

We took surfing lessons the first day at 9AM, we were the only 3 in a group class.

The Hilton Hawaiin Village had really nice ponds everywhere
There were Rhaphis Palm Trees everywhere!

This reminded me of the Cushman's that my mom's greenhouse used to have.
Paddleboarding in the lagoon:
We had a Lizard join us for lunch one day
We went to sunset beach to see the surfers on the monster waves, the international surfing competition was going on.

We decided to go to Shark Beach to catch the sun going down, it was really cool seeing the waves crash on the lava rock.

We went the Starlight Luau on the top of the parking garage. When we went to Hilo, they said they don't do public Luau's
A Luau is a party for your kids first birthday, and usually you only invite people you know.
